Content Expectations
Asking our users directly
We asked users the following 3 questions: Think about the last time you visited an NFT Marketplace. Which one was it? What did you do there?; When you land on the Home page of an NFT Marketplace, what do you expect to see there?; Which NFT Marketplace, if any, does a great job with its Home page? Why is that?
What users expect to see
After reviewing all replies, we noted that users last visited Crypto.com, OpenSea, Nifty Gateway, & Binance. They expected to see the following features/content: filter options, search, featured list, trending items, and top artists. And, 3 out of 5 users said OpenSea had a great homepage. It was described as "market standard".

Understanding Priority
Stacking importance
We then asked users to stack the following items from "most important" to "least important": news, popular creators, trending items, featured, NFT games, and upcoming releases.
What should come first
Users listed the following as "most important": trending, featured, popular creators. The following were middle of the pack: news, upcoming releases. NFT games was "least important" among all users. We took into account that there could have been decision bias as most users didn't know what NFT games were or how they could interact with them yet.
